Amazon’s Big Deal Days are upon us (an awkward name, we know, we prefer Prime Day), and there are some great deals to be had. We’ll be updating you with some articles of the individual greats throughout the day, but these are some of our top picks of Amazon products that you can get right now.
We’ll be updating this article throughout the two days, so be sure to come back to check us out! Links may earn us a commission, but we will never recommend a product with the sole motivation being commission revenue.
Our favourite deals so far
ASUS and LG monitors
Pick up a new monitor for your gaming setup much cheaper than you would any time of year. These are definitely worth looking at!
Amazon Fire TV Stick
If you’re looking to turn your TV into a smart TV, then Amazon’s Fire TV Stick is one of the best options available. You’ll be able to stream from any of your favourite services so long as your TV has a HDMI port, so it’s highly worth checking out.
Amazon Echo Buds
Looking to pick up a cheap but good pair of wireless earphones? The Amazon Echo Buds are an excellent choice, and they’re significantly discounted just for Amazon’s Big Deal Days. They integrate with all major voice assistants and have long battery life, good sound quality, and charge fast, too. If you’re looking for a steal this Prime Day, these are probably it.
Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation
The Amazon Echo Dot 5th Generation is at its lowest price yet for this Prime Day, but don’t mistake its small stature for small sound. It’s capable of producing a pretty high volume while also integrating with any other smart devices that you may have in your home. We highly recommend picking this up if you’re only dipping your toes into the world of smart devices, as you won’t get much cheaper than this.
Amazon Echo 4th Generation
Don’t be fooled by the 4th Generation and 5th Generation stuff; Amazon’s 4th Generation Echo is the most recent, and it’s only the Echo Dot that has a 5th Generation available for sale. It’s confusing, we know.
However, the sound quality from the Echo 4th Generation is immense, and I know it because I personally use this product. It sounds great and it’s useful for setting alarms, checking the weather, and more. If you’re looking to invest a little bit, then this is worth a pickup.
Amazon Fire HD 10
If you’re in the market for a new, cheap tablet, then the Amazon Fire HD 10 is a good option. It supports all your favourite apps (though they’re on the Amazon App Store, not the Play Store), and can be used for media streaming too. It has a nice display, good speakers, and comes in at a nice, low price tag versus other similar tablets.
Amazon Echo Show 5
If you’re looking for a smart display to bring the whole home together, then the Amazon Echo Show 5 is worth a shout. It will link up all your other existing Alexa devices into one display that you can control them from, and it doesn’t cost a whole lot, either. It has speakers, support for media streaming, and so much more that makes it really difficult to pass up.
Bose QuietComfort 45
The Bose QuietComfort 45 headphones are some of the best flagship headphones you can get, and they’re at an all-time low of £200 right now on Amazon. They’re down from £350, and they’re a pair that will provide you excellent sound quality, comfort, and noise cancellation for years. If you’re looking for a new pair of headphones and aren’t sure what to get, these may just be the best option available.
The Sony WH-1000XM5 have some of the best noise cancellation in any pair of headphones you can buy, and they pack amazing sound quality and long battery life, too. I had the XM3 headphones that were still quite similar and loved them, and I’ve since tried out the XM5 and find them even better. You’ll not go wrong with these if you opt to get them, and they’re fantastic for listening to music, playing games, or consuming other forms of media.
Fitbit Charge 5
Looking to improve your fitness? The Fitbit Charge 5 is one of our best fitness trackers, and there’s a reason for that. It has all of the capabilities of the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 and all of the capabilities of the Google Pixel Watch when it comes to fitness tracking, and even has a couple of additional features up its sleeves, too. It has a longer battery life, skin temperature monitoring, automatic workout-tracking, and more. We highly recommend this one.
If you want an alternative to paper books, then the Kindle Paperwhite might be worth grabbing. It has an adjustable warm light to make it easier on the eyes and it’s versatile, functional, and has up to 10 weeks of battery life. As an added bonus, you can get up to 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for free — a massive saving for access to millions of books, audiobooks and even magazine subscriptions. Additional useful functions and features include IPX8 waterproofing, and the ability to pair Bluetooth listening devices with your Kindle.
